Fall Protection System Offers Versatile Solution For Free Standing Crane

System Overview
•   An outdoor, freestanding crane rail that needs access for maintenance and repair. 
•   Systems needed include horizontal and vertical fall protection. 
•   HY-SAFE TECHNOLOGY provided Easy Climber and Uni-8 horizontal and vertical fall protection systems to
    fill all fall protection requirements.
•   Two workers at a time can utilize each horizontal system.
•   One worker at a time can utilize each vertical system.   

          A complete fall protection system was needed to provide maintenance access to two freestanding crane rails. HY-SAFE TECHNOLOGY designed a solution to offer complete fall protection to completely protect the workers that needed to access the crane rail. The system utilizes three 45 foot Easy Climber systems, which allow fully protected vertical access to the crane rails. The Easy Climber systems extend to a position where the worker can switch to the horizontal Uni-8 systems with no risk of fallilng. Once on the vertical crane surface, three workers can attach to the Uni-8 system attached to custom designed vertical steel posts, traveling a length of 900 and 300 feet respectively.

          The worker can travel the full length of the system, passing through intermediate cable supports without having to detach and reattach for both horizontal and vertical travel. Installation of the system was done with complete flexibility with regard to the company's scheduling, so their normal work schedule was not interfered with during the installation. A training session was held at the end of the installation so workers that would be accessing the system would be fully trained in its proper use and maintenance. The stainless steel cable and components used make the system highly durable in outdoor environments, so the system will safely stand up to long-term use.
